95 HOURS CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR RCYT


In 2011 Yoga Alliance began registering schools to provide a new Yoga specialty certification - Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT).

To become a RCYT you must:

a)      Be a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT)

Completed a 200 hour training program with a RYS 200 AND…

b)      Have completed a 95 hour training program with a Registered Children’s Yoga School (RCYT)


 87           "contact" hours (a classroom hour in the physical presence of a faculty member)

 +8          hours (contact or non-contact at the school's discretion)

 95          hours for certification completed

 

Teacher hour requirements:

Complete 30 hours of teaching following your children's yoga specialty training.

Yoki Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. If you are interested in getting this level of certification we can help you meet your requirements.

The 90 contact hours are divided into 3 modules

Kids Yoga - (Bloomin' teaching Yoga to children under age 8

Youth Yoga - teaching Yoga to children 8-12

Teen Yoga - teaching Yoga to teens

Individual modules can be taken whether or not full certification is your goal.  You do not have to have any previous certification to participate in these trainings.
